Terri L. Steffner Practice Business Manager AWMS

A 30 plus year veteran of the financial services and software industries, Terri brings fresh perspective to her role as practice business manager. She provides support in a variety of areas but specializes in client education through social media, webinars and in person classes, empowering clients by providing the knowledge to make sound financial decisions and navigate the technology Raymond James offers. She also created the Global Wealth Solutions Group of Raymond James financial literacy program “Money Smarts”. The program hosts seminars, webinars and intern programs tailored to wealth responsibly by teaching our clients heirs to be good stewards of the wealth they create and inherit. Her background in technology and education offers a new dimension to the client experience.

Beyond this she partners with organizations to assist with some of the most important decisions of their life, longevity planning. She believes it is more important than ever to have a plan for your finances, your health, and your legacy beyond so that you not only live longer but live better. Navigating Insurance, long term care, health insurance options, Medicare, Social Security, are critical to your larger financial picture.

A registered associate, Terri also assists with planning, strategy and stewardship responsibilities for institutions, including nonprofits, endowments and foundations. Dedicated and compassionate, she uses her relationship-building skills and experience supporting institutions to deliver responsive service.

Terri joined Raymond James in 2015 and lives by its Service 1stSM philosophy. Prior to that, her financial services career at Morgan Stanley spanned many roles, beginning as a registered service associate, a technology education trainer during the largest financial service software deployment in the industry, a technical writer and finally as group director for a team at Morgan Stanley. She is a Registered Corporate Coach , Series 7, 63, 66 securities licensed, life, Accident and health Insurance license, and certified notary public in the state of California.

In her free time, Terri volunteers for various charities and youth programs and a member of the Raymond James Diversity & Inclusion Committee, Encore Inclusion Network where she served as a panelist to discuss “Working in a Multi-Generational Workforce” video series. She also a board member Raymond James Longevity Advisory Board serving as your center point, helping you navigate blind spots related to healthcare, caregiving, housing and legacy planning.

A Minnesota native, Terri now lives between Napa and Beverly Hills, California, with her husband, Ted. They have three adult children: Ryan, Joe, and Dani. Ted and Terri are the proud grandparents of three granddaughters: Nora, Lainey and Kinsley and two grandson Easton and Caysen.
